We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team at our facility in Madison, WI (53703). As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques. Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations on metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and industry standards.
• Operate welding equipment and tools such as MIG, TIG, and arc welders.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping metal pieces.
• Inspect and test welded surfaces to detect flaws or defects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Adhere to quality control standards to ensure the production of durable and reliable products.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Welder or similar role.
• Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in welding.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in welding are a plus.
