Job Overview:

Southern California News Group (SCNG) is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our Digital Advertising Operations team as a Sr. Director Demand Generation.

The Sr. Director Demand Generation's primary responsibility is to help plan, organize and execute programs that generate new prospects and advance existing opportunities for the sales team and Company. You’ll be responsible for all lead generation including the development of marketing plans consisting of multi-touch, multi-dimensional programs including both inbound and outbound tactics. You will also assist in executing various projects and company initiatives that impact or generate revenue. Experience with email marketing and lead generation is a must!

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation - uncover and leverage new emerging channels to create growth as well as finding other avenues for lead generation including, new vendors, new advertising avenues.
  • Develop an audience segmentation strategy and drive opportunities to grow the database
  • Partner with and leverage internal teams to help drive agenda and implementation
  • Forecast results and present to senior management across teams to demonstrate correlation of lead generation efforts with key success metrics, including revenue gain
  • Research, strategize, design and manage tactics in the overall marketing mix, based on a buyer’s journey, to increase engagement, response rates and conversion
  • Create campaign KPIs, goals and objectives, and campaign briefs to support execution and implementation, including nurture strategies that incorporate digital retargeting, organic, inbound and outbound
  • Inbound and outbound direct marketing efforts in a B2B capacity, being able to strategically utilize the marketing budget from strategy to implementation.
  • Implementation of campaigns on social, search, etc.
  • Dealing with Vendors and Senior leadership on special projects and strategies
  • Manage key conversion points in the marketing funnel, including landing pages, website calls-to-action (CTAs), and lead-generating forms. A/B test and continually measure the performance of these conversion assets
  • Manage across various platforms the respective email lists and email campaigns including content development, list management, templates, campaign calendars, and reporting
  • Create, develop and execute new email marketing initiatives especially automation and re-engagement.
  • Monitor, track and report all e-mail marketing campaigns (including open rates, conversion etc.) and develop test campaigns to leverage new initiatives and increase conversion and revenue

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or similar background with extensive content writing experience
  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience with a specific focus on B2B inbound and outbound lead generation strategies, content creation, and project management required.
  • 7+ years in marketing leadership required.
  • Highly analytical and able to strategically analyze and derive meaning from data through testing and optimization while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Proven success in driving inbound and outbound lead generation campaigns resulting in sales opportunities and revenue growth
  • Proficient using HubSpot (or similar platform), Google analytics. Salesforce and Wordpress experience is a plus!
  • Experience and leadership in outbound email marketing, building workflows, automation, landing page development and optimization (and junior role)
  • Experience creating: landing pages, forms, website pages, templates and managing contacts (and junior role)
  • Ability to present analysis and provide recommendations and build comprehensive performance reports
  • Deadline driven, detail oriented, and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment is a must.
  • Understanding of marketing principles and expertise in leveraging marketing tools strategically.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and proactively to resolve issues, take ownership of projects and processes
  • Experience with Hubspot, Google Analytics Certified, Salesforce, and Paid Social Media Marketing - Facebook Ads Manager
