Pharmaworks is looking for an experienced and innovative Mechanical Engineer. This position will work together with fellow mechanical design engineers, controls engineers, machine builders, machine shop, and outside vendors to produce quality, aesthetically functional, and practical designs.

As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, you will :

• Be able to conceptualize, design, and communicate technical information
• Be innovative, resourceful, and disciplined when resolving technical challenges
• Calculate drive requirements and ratios, cam profiles, machine timing, actuator forces and similar mechanical engineering functions
• Work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
• Interface with engineering staff, purchasing group, shop personnel and outside vendors

Who we are looking for?

• Have BSME or equivalent experience
• Have 10+ years of experience in mechanical design of Packaging machinery
• Have experience in the pharmaceutical packaging industry a plus,
• Knowledge of FDA regulations on CGMP and their application in machine design
• Be able to conceptualize, design, and communicate technical information
• Be innovative, resourceful, and disciplined when resolving technical challenges
• Calculate drive requirements and ratios, cam profiles, machine timing, actuator forces and similar mechanical engineering functions
• Work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
• Be proficient in pneumatic circuits and devices
• Have a strong knowledge base of fabrication methods and processes such as milling, turning, welding, plating and coatings with an understanding of cost impacts
• Be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks or Inventor 3D parametric model software a plus
• Be proficient in the metric system of measurement
• Interface with engineering staff, purchasing group, shop personnel and outside vendor
