The Sales Development Specialist II connects with potential customers to share Outcome opportunities for drilling and related services for U.S. Land, offshore and international, and services offered by H&P.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Creates, promotes and supports strategy to maintain and expand customer base.
- Meet with external customers, as needed and requested, to support Account Manager efforts.
- Coordinates with H&P Technologies commercial management to align sales efforts.
- Participates in cross-functional, intra-company problem solving teams.
- Confirms customer segmentation.
- Promotes and supports H&P’s Customer Value Proposal throughout the organization.
- Tracks new markets and emerging trends, recommends new products and services, proposes and develops new strategic partnerships.
- Demonstrates the H&P Company values: Actively C.A.R.E., Service Attitude, Innovative Spirit, and Teamwork.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years’ experience in business development
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance or Economics preferred.
- Strategic agility. Seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies.
- Strong business, marketing and analytical skills. Ability to grasp the complexities of the business.
- Strong communication skills. Able to convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Results Driven. Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.
- Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions.
- Strong planning and organizational skills. Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organization goals.
- Strong company knowledge. Knows the company, what it is, what it does, why and how it does it.
- Must have proficient PC skills, Microsoft Office applications required
- Ability to use a network of people, systems, and processes to reach difficult potential new customers.
- Proficient/experience with maintaining and updating a customer resource management system (CRM) system preferred (SalesForce or Oracle CRM).
- Self-starter with a personal drive to meet/exceed goals each quarter.
- Resilient and handles and overcomes objections and roadblocks during the sales process and continues to persevere.
