Job Purpose

Serve customers by selling products and meeting customer needs

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Secure orders from potential customers; generate new business opportunities
  • Secure opportunities to quote on customer requirements; increase sales volume with new &existing customers
  • Utilize creative abilities to develop new growth opportunities and document cost savings
  • Demonstrate technical aspects and pricing of available products
  • Develop proven base of customer contacts with the targeted OEM sectors
  • Maintain a constant and consistent customer-oriented focus
  • Follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery and completeness; meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Participate in a HISCO selected Pre-Employment Sales Assessment Test
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred
  • 8+ years proven sales experience in the industry
  • Working knowledge of specific product(s) to be sold FBO HISCO
  • Must not be obligated or committed to any “non-compete” agreement with a HISCO competitor

  • Acceptable DPS/Motor Vehicle Record, verifiable for business liability purposes
  • HISCO identified as additional insured on personal auto liability insurance policy
  • $500,000minimumpersonal liability coverage on personal motor vehicle used to conduct
  • HISCO sales business

Physical Demands

  • Daily / Weekly travel visits to existing and potential customer sites
  • Majority of work performed outside of the home branch office environment
  • Attendance at a variety of business meetings as required
  • Job success requires extra discipline, effort, commitment, and diligence to secure a sale and profitability
