Structural design: As a member of the engineering design team, candidate will work on concept development, layout, and stress analysis. Candidate will work with engineers of other disciplines and drafting designers to drawing completion of various land and offshore rig components and systems. Responsibilities include analysis documentation, coordinating design efforts with other teams, third party manufacturing as well as interfacing with fabricators and H&P field operations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, structural discipline from an accredited university
• Minimum of 5 years of structural design experience, ability to perform and organize hand calculations and computer aided design analysis. Experience with drilling rig design is beneficial.
• Experienced with AISC design manual; preferably ASD methodology
• Familiarity with API Specification and Recommended Practices is beneficial
• Knowledgeable on general structural steel fabrication practices, welding and improving fabrication drawings
• Must have the ability to lead projects and be a self-starter
• Has or is working towards obtaining PE
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software is beneficial
• Vocal team contributor
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work and communicate with office, shop, and oil field personnel
• Some travel required to fabrication facilities, assembly facilities, and rig locations
