Job Description

Summary/Objective

Under the general supervision of the foreman, assemble, collate, move tie and strap, and prepare inserts and other newspaper products for distribution. The job includes three steps, inserting, supplying and tying. It will be your responsibility to perform any of these steps as needed.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule

• Report to work on short notice

• Posses the ability to continually lift bundles of newspapers

• Ability to lift push or pull form 25 to 50 lbs

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Must be 18 years or older

Competencies & Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift.

• Perform basic math skills.

• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and other power lift equipment.

• Possess effective communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Person typically has one or more years of related experience.
