Job Description

This entry level position is responsible for ensuring the inserting process is completed on a daily basis.

Essential Functions

The role of Mailroom Inserter is to place free standing inserts into the daily newspapers for Prairie Mountain Media.

• Hand inserting free standing inserts into the inserting machine.

• Use the shrink wrap machine to wrap pallets

• Use pallet jacks to move materials with the mailroom and warehouse

• Supplying an inserting station “pocket” with approximately 100 inserts at a time.

• Proper usage of a “jogging” table aligning all inserts perfectly prior to loading a pocket.

• Work on the bindery machine to load signatures

• Loading mail pieces into the mail machine and gathering address pieces off of the conveyor

• Responsible for daily clean up of the mailroom

• This job operates in a fast paced, production environment using inserting equipment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 50 pounds.

The hourly wage is $12.32.
