Modern Packaging seeks a Mechanical Drafter responsible for supporting the Mechanical Engineering group with regards to basic designs as well as documentation.

Principle duties:

•  Create 2D documentation with appropriate dimensions and tolerances from 3D models
  •    Basic design work under engineering or management supervision
•  Prepares proper bills of material based on design
  •    Create and manage the assembly documentation for all machine projects on the production floor
  •    Support Technical Writing Personnel with creation of manuals
  •    Assist Aftermarket team with identifying components on equipment, updating manual drawings, and updating Bill of Materials.

Requirements/Capabilities:
•    Solid understanding of drafting
•    Basic understanding of design
•    Ability to work independently and with limited day-to-day supervision

Experience/Training:
•    2+ yrs experience
•    Excellent working knowledge with Autodesk Inventor – recent revisions

Education:
•    High School Diploma
Technical Trade School or Associate Degree preferred
