Overview

Georgia Crown is looking for an Automotive Mechanic for our McDonough Ga location.  Georgia Crown is a full-service alcoholic beverage distributor with wholesale operations doing business in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. The position require travel to other locations. 

Responsibilities

To repair and service company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective and practical manner. Communitcate with other mechanics, drivers and delivery staff in order to facilitate repairs. Must have basic Car or Truck repair and service knowledge and have a working knowledge of equipment like band saws, drill presses, welders and torches. Must be able to work odd hours in the event of emergency. Must be a self starter and work with minimal supervision. Other job related duties assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to read and write and have mental capacity to complete required paperwork and records.
• Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Certification within 30 days.
• Must have and be able to maintain valid Georgia Drivers License.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have 1 year of car or truck repair experience and or Tech school training.
• Must be willing to train on DOT rules and regulations.
• Must be able to work with different chemicals, oils, fuels and cleaners and gases.
• Must have basic hand tool and tool box.
• Must be able to work overtime if required.
• Must be able to work with and take direction from lead mechanic.
• Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks…).
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:           Cannot have more than 2 moving violations in last 3 years.           Cannot have DUI, reckless driving or hit-and-run in last 5 years.
• Must be able to Travel when required.
