Job Description

Summary/Objective

Builds skids and ensures the accuracy and proper placement of these skids in the mailroom staging areas or in to trucks. This position would work in conjunction with lead personnel to insure packaging and delivery meets our business objectives and customer needs.

Essential Functions

• Stacks bundles of newspaper products onto skids.

• Moves and stages skids of products using an electric pallet jack.

• Supplies insert machines with skids of inserts using an electric pallet jack. Performs other tasks as directed by Supervisor or Shift Manager

• Serves as a proactive customer service ambassador of SCNG by representing the organization in a positive, professional manner.

• Ensures external and internal customer inquiries are responded to in a timely manner

Competencies & Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift.

• Perform basic math skills.

• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and other power lift equipment.

• Possess effective communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Person typically has one or more years of related experience.
