ABOUT THE POSITION

The Manufacturing Engineer Intern is responsible to assist the engineering team to improve manufacturing operations within Marketlab, seeking to make manufacturing efficient and productive. This position will provide team support to the Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer and Production Manager in order to produce the highest quality of products for Marketlab.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Assist with the evaluation of manufacturing operations and processes and assess opportunities for improvements.
  • Assist with the implementation of manufacturing process improvements.
  • Assist with the preparation of specifications, and management of installation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Analyze production processes, collect and analyze data using statistical methods, and perform time studies
  • Write process procedures clearly and accurately for new products, identify problems with old procedures, and make corrections when needed.
  • Assist with the build of prototypes as directed by engineering.
  • Comfortable with being on the Manufacturing floor for 80% of the day.
  • Miscellaneous projects as directed by the Engineering Manager.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree path or similar.
  • Must be flexible and adapt to changing environments and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the day.
