Maintenance Mechanic 2nd Shift

Second Shift: 3:00 pm - 1:00 am


Maintenance Mechanic

PURPOSE:

To repair, maintain and change over packaging lines. Complete minor building maintenance and blending area equipment repair.                                                                          

 

Maintenance Mechanic

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily:

  • Check start up of packaging lines.                         
  • Respond to problems that arise with packaging lines.                                                                    
  • Perform line changeovers as needed.

Weekly:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, which includes tasks such as grease or performing a line improvement to help production numbers or higher standard of efficiency.

Monthly:

  • Perform preventative maintenance (differs from weekly preventative maintenance).

Occasional, Infrequent:

  • Complete major line installs for new products and/or new equipment.

Requirements

Maintenance Mechanic

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting and pushing of equipment.
  • Majority (up to 75%) of day spent standing or walking.

Maintenance Mechanic

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop tools.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use electrical meters and welding equipment.

Maintenance Mechanic

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge in mechanical equipment and the understanding of how machinery works.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Vocational school a plus

Maintenance Mechanic

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

  • Food Industries experience is a plus.
