Summary/Objective

This entry level position is responsible for ensuring the inserting process is completed on a daily basis.

Essential Functions

The role of Mailroom Inserter is to place free standing inserts into the daily newspapers for Chico Enterprise Record.

● Hand inserting free standing inserts into the inserting machine.

● Use the shrink wrap machine to wrap pallets

● Use pallet jacks to move materials with the mailroom and warehouse

● Supplying an inserting station “pocket” with approximately 100 inserts at a time.

● Proper usage of a “jogging” table aligning all inserts perfectly prior to loading a pocket.

● Work on the bindery machine to load signatures

● Loading mail pieces into the mail machine and gathering address pieces off of the conveyor

● Responsible for daily cleanup of the mailroom

● Drive company truck and deliver bulk newspapers to designated warehouse and or drop off locations

Required Education

● High school diploma or equivalent preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 50 pounds. Push pull up to 300 lbs.
