Hisco offers a competitive pay rate of $21.50-23.00/hr. (depending on experience) for this role and a very rich benefit program.  

Job Purpose

In addition to Machine Operator III tasks, this person will be responsible for performing the most complex production-related tasks (i.e. complex and advanced rotary) in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.  Operates a wide range of complex fabrication equipment, which includes, but not limited to: Mark Andy, Pace machines, Delta, Delta LASER, XP 5000, Traverse, Sysco Press and Preco.  Responsible for assisting/leading lower level staff with more complex tasks.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Works in production/assembly-line manufacturing environment to meet customer requirements as documented on the most complex work specifications (i.e. Job Travelers, Work Instructions, and/or Customer drawings).
  • Creates and maintains complex work specifications; and measures First Piece to validate machine set up with the assistance of the QA department and First Article Inspection Report Requirements (Internal/External); produces required quantity of parts within specified tolerances.
  • Participates in the contract review process by ensuring/verifying part numbers, revision levels, and other related information matches work orders, work instructions, customer drawings; brings inconsistencies to the attention of the manager.
  • Evaluates and enhances work specifications as documented, and other related information provided in the work specification(s).
  • Reads and understands the most complex work specifications with emphasis on material callouts, packaging and labeling requirements, and dimensions and associated tolerances.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Responsible for the safe handling of various materials, products, and inventory
  • Responsible for proper labeling of materials to ensure lot traceability and shelf life tracking
  • Maintains proper paperwork on work orders handled, quantities and other applicable production/quality documents for each order produced with cGMP.
  • Measures parts produced to determine if parts are within customer tolerances.
  • Takes proper care of all equipment; completes daily log checks and entries.
  • Maintains training skills on safe machine operations including safety guards.
  • Follows all safety rules regarding machine operations, work dress/attire, and proper guarding
  • Directly responsible for product quality
  • Trains and mentors others

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Certified Fork Lift Operator preferred
  • All applicable certifications

Physical Demands

  • Manual dexterity to apply labels, close containers, fill & seal bags, pack boxes, and operate machines properly
  • Able to perform steady work involving frequent stooping and bending
  • Able to lift and carry 30 lbs frequently
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing, criminal background, and VOE checks
  • Required to wear proper safety equipment while handling hazardous materials in the work environment
