Norix Group Inc, a leading manufacturer of healthcare, GSA military, shelter, education, commercial, and institutional furniture is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician to work in our new facility located in West Chicago, Illinois.

Primary Function of a Roto Machine/Mold Maintenance Tech:

· Set-up, maintain, and make repairs to roto equipment and molds needed to produce rotationally molded product. 

The Roto Machine/Mold Maintenance Tech will work to deliver and meet company stated goals to keep production up, scrap low and quality high.  

Duties/Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

· Works from both written and verbal instructions, including blueprints and manufacturing procedures. 

· Understands and follows standard safety and manufacturing procedures. 

· Safely and correctly uses a variety of powered and manual hand tools, motorized hoists, gantries, welders, lathes, mills, forklifts, etc.

· Perform finishing, polishing, texturing of aluminum along with sandblasting of molds. 

· Repairing of mold frames.

· Completing mold revisions and/or modifications as needed.

· Create fixtures and/or jigs used in production for cooling or secondary operations of products. 

· In accordance with the machine manufacturer, perform preventative maintenance and repairs on machines and equipment throughout the facility.

· Trouble shoot and correct machine related issues as they arise. 

· Demonstrates and shares technical knowledge with others in training.

· Sustain a safe and clean workspace.

Requirements

  

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Ability to read, write, and speak English.

· Ability to lift 60+ lbs.

· Ability to work in a hotter than normal working environment.

· Ability to self-manage, take ownership, problem solve, and “think outside of the box.”

· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.

· Highly skilled in welding with ability to weld aluminum and steel with accuracy.

· Ability to operate a lathe and mill.

· Ability to operate a sit-down and stand-up forklift.
