Description

At Norix, we design innovative, robust furniture that meets the real-world need for humanizing challenging environments. We are currently looking for a Junior Product Manager to manage the Product Development process from idea through concept into launch.  This position is responsible for managing products throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer feedback, defining the product vision and working closely with engineering to deliver winning products. It also includes collaboration with sales, marketing, and customer care to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.


Duties/Responsibilities:

o Identify market needs through competitive analysis, field sales input, and client meetings.

o Collaborate with R&D, Engineering Teams, and appropriate manufacturing facilities to translate market needs into well thought out products that include “Features that Matter”.

o Create, maintain, and execute Project Briefs for all new products and line extensions. 

o Manage the Product Development process from concept through launch.

o Manage cross functional team to keep projects on track.

o Collaborate with marketing team to translate new and existing products as well as competitive information into sales support and marketing material collateral.

o Train the field sales force and customer care on new products via various means including webinar and video training, and training in the field.

o Manage Product Categories for new and existing products as they evolve through the lifecycle and present findings bi-annually.  

o Review margin reports and product profitability and make pricing recommendations.

o Responsible for Netsuite set-up for product management

o Prepare and conduct presentations at sales meeting.

o Travel as needed.

o Other duties as assigned




Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

o Strong understanding of the product Development process

o Ability to conduct initial research with customers and end-users and use those learnings to drive the product development process from concept through launch.

o Self-motivated with good time management skills so projects are completed on time.

o Proficient in Microsoft Office 

o Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate up, down, and across the organization  

o Organized and analytical, and strong attention to detail

o Ability to adjust to shifting priorities, demands and timelines promptly and efficiently

o Action-oriented with a strong attention to detail

o Must be able to lead cross functional teams and handle multiple projects and deadlines

o Stay focused on priorities and drive for results

o Strong organizational skills and can handle several projects simultaneously

o Improve processes, products, and services


Education/Experience:

o Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Design

o 3-5 years working experience in product management.



Physical Requirements:

o Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.
