Matrix Packaging Machinery, a subsidiary of ProMach, is moving to a new facility in Grafton, WI. Matrix is looking for a talented Inventory Material Handler to contribute to the company’s success by pulling inventory components for machine builds and customer orders, setting up job carts, managing Vertical Lift Machine (VLM) units, and cycle counting inventory in VLM. The individual will be cross trained within the Shipping & Receiving department and will work in a safe, efficient, and dependable manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pull/Issue machine components and organize on job cart accurately
  • Pull/Issue/Stage engineered orders
  • Manage shortages for machine builds and engineered orders
  • Work with Assembly, Engineering, Machine Shop on discrepancies, needed parts, or other matters
  • Complete cycle counts daily
  • Help maintain accurate inventory count
  • Assist in putting received parts into VLM units
  • Cross train to assist other team positions during absences or busy times
  • Operate appropriate machinery which may include tier lift truck, hand truck, forklift, etc., to move, convey, hoist shipments to and from shipping and receiving platforms
  • Perform other tasks on an as needed basis

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Previous experience with shipping, receiving, inventory management
  • Skid/crate building/preparation skills a plus
  • Forklift certification a plus
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and other information
  • Experience with MS Office, Excel, and ability to perform specific tasks in ERP software
  • Ability to stand regularly and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent communication skills with people throughout the organization
  • Detail orientated, value accuracy, and efficiency are highly desirable
  • Problem solving skills to assist associates
  • Organization/time management skills are a must as well as an ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Participate as a positive, contributing member of team
