Job Overview:

Overview

General Clerk III will perform Electronic File Retention. 

Responsibilities

  • Scan supporting documentation received to support pay and personnel transactions into the electronic retention system (TRIM) and assign the appropriate retention identifier for archiving and retrieval.
  • Use of government specific software or database
  • Make selections of appropriate methods from a wide-variety of procedures or make simple adaptations and interpretation of a limited number of substantive guides and manuals.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with office terminology
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Able to interact with others and to explain complex actions taken in regard to a military member's entitlements, allowances, or collections
  • Knowledge and experience with grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and military terminology commonly used within office settings to prepare material correctly.
  • Knowledge or experience with standard office equipment such as computers, electric typewriters, copiers, fax machines, and other office automation systems to perform a substantial range of office automation support

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work -Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. Work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally.
