Pace Packaging is seeking a Director of Global Sales and Marketing with international sales responsibility, as well as management of our domestic regional sales team. In this role, you will develop, implement, and execute sales strategies that identify new market opportunities and increase overall sales for both existing and targeted strategic markets/customers.

You'll have extensive experience and close connections in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) market, with a track record of success managing capital equipment sales to large multinational companies in this space. In addition, you will also be an experienced leader of sales teams, understand business finance, and exhibit a high technical (mechanical, electrical) aptitude. How will you be measured? By meeting business development benchmarks and creating sustainable revenue.

Are you passionate about this work?

  • Increase international and domestic North American customer base and add to existing customer profitability
  • Manage international agent network, agent engagement, and review international agent sales performance
  • Develop and increase the ability of the domestic regional sales management team to win orders
  • Adhere to Pace Order Management processes to ensure projects are vetted and quoted in a manner that leads to ultimate project success
  • Develop and implement market-driven strategies to achieve revenue goals and the company’s mission
  • Act as primary point of contact for internal sales team and external constituents (agents, field representatives, etc.)
  • Act as primary point of contact for current Key Accounts and identify and develop new Key Accounts
  • Negotiate and finalize contract negotiations, working with management and legal counsel as required to finalize master agreements
  • Foster, promote, and facilitate cross-selling of company-wide products, services, capabilities, and systems focusing on growing ProMach’s North America business
  • Promote a customer-centric focus and consultative customer relationships
  • Develop and maintain high-profile external relationships within customer constituents, trade organizations, etc.
  • Develop and manage sales/marketing operating budgets

  • 10+ years’ experience in capital equipment sales, 5+ years’ experience managing an international sales team of director reports and/or agents
  • Good standing knowledge of the consumer packaging industry and mechanical/electrical industrial equipment design principles
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Engineering design skills
  • Good housekeeping skills – i.e., electronic filing, calculations, recording design changes, updating Excel spreadsheets, and documenting designs
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a productive member of a team
  • Strong mentoring and leadership skills, and patience for developing a professional working environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
