The Business Development Manager is responsible for the sourcing, development, client relationship management and the associated tasks in the consumer packaged goods field. Other core responsibilities include factory on-site product demonstrations, tradeshow exhibiting, white papers, marketing material feedback, webinars, project scoping and quote creation.  The successful incumbent will partner with current and prospective manufacturing clients to ensure the successful partnership of our products on their packaging lines. The position is a remote position that requires travel to customer sites both domestically and internationally and reports to the General Manager.

• Partner with and generate business through successful relationships and selling of ZPI products to customers in the CPG industry.
• Create scope and project documentation for ZPI installation overviews based on specific client projects.
• Perform presentations or webinars with prospective and existing clients.
• Attend industry trade shows and generate new leads during the shows.
• Update internal reporting with new potentials, orders, and maintenance contract information.
• Work as part of the team to develop new potential markets or products.
• Assist in tracking purchase orders, total sales and financial engineering.
• Gather information from clients for feedback and enhancements to software.
• Be aware of upcoming releases and included features.

Who we’re looking for?

• Four-year degree or technical degree with sales relevant experience.
• Prior experience working in the manufacturing industry in a sales or technical position
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle a multi-tasked role and good organizational skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Specifically, during on-boarding on-site at the ZPI headquarters in Oakville, ON, CAN.
